This book is a great read and has actionable ideas on every page. I recommend you read it with a pen and paper handy! The Centre for Behavioural Economics who have published it, produced a great summary on their website, which you can find here.

I can't do better than their own summary, so please do go and read it, and buy the book! Let me know what you think by commenting below.

Here's my 'did you know' fact from the book - Judges are more likely to give prisoners parole just after they have eaten lunch, when they are feeling most content. This is given as an example of ways in which sometimes we do things unconciously - not always for good. Our challenge is to use these unconcious biases in a way that benefits society. So ring up your major donors just after lunch, I guess!

fantastic book - can't recommend it highly enough
